The Search for Elsewhere
I didn't start with machine learning. I started with design — building interfaces, thinking about how people interact with technology. But somewhere along the way I got pulled deeper. From UI/UX I moved into core ML, drawn by the idea that you could teach machines to find patterns humans couldn't see.
Then I looked up. Literally. The same tools I was learning could be pointed at the night sky — at exoplanets, at the question of whether other worlds could hold life. Turns out the instinct that got me into ML doesn't stop at Earth.

Led a team as Senior Team Lead, managing end-to-end delivery of 6 medium-complexity UI/UX projects within a 3-month timeline.
Computational Artifacts
An automated answer evaluation system that scores handwritten/scanned student responses against teacher-provided model answers. The pipeline extracts text via PyMuPDF and PaddleOCR, generates semantic embeddings using Sentence-BERT (all-MiniLM-L6-v2), and scores similarity via cosine distance — with results persisted to SQLite and exported as evaluation reports through ReportLab. Built collaboratively with Sai Kiran and Dinesh; I co-authored the OCR/Sentence-BERT backend pipeline and handled deployment on Railway.
Built a regression-based ML model to predict household power consumption, applying feature engineering and data preprocessing pipelines using NumPy and Pandas. Evaluated model performance using scikit-learn metrics (MAE, RMSE) and visualized consumption trends and feature importance using Matplotlib and Seaborn. Built as part of a 3-member team
Collective Empowerment
Founded and established the GDG on Campus chapter at Geethanjali College of Engineering and Technology. Achieved Tier 3 in the Google Cloud Campaign and hosted GSoC awareness sessions for students.
Selected as one of the college's student administrators for gctcportal.in — a competitive, single-seat annual appointment. Managed academic notifications, marks updates, and college announcements via the portal and official Instagram handle. Served as Sub Core – Technical for the college fest committee, overseeing technical event coordination.
